Yesterday was a very sad day at Marching Band Practice. After 4:30,pm, I was one of only 2 flutists there. The whole flute section consists of 10 people. It was a tad bit frightening doing the moves with only one other person. I hope next practice is better.
Anyway, we've started watching the movie Tron in English. It has a hero's journey in it, an easy, predictable pattern. But Tron is very unpredictable. You never know what happens next, and it keeps you on the edge of your seat. It's unlike anything I've seen before, and it looks pretty darn cool. It's a true masterpiece. Right off the bat, you can point out a lot of manipulation. It reminds me of Ender's Game, by Orson Scott Card, an awful lot. Playing games in order to survive, manipulation, Flynn not wanting to hurt people, it seems like a mirror image in some respects. We do those things everyday; We do work in order to pay the bills, we are sometimes begged by other workers in order to get what is needed in order for the company to thrive(say, if they wanted you to help out in a big project), and not wanting to hurt other's feelings. It is funny how these things can be recognized in an unrecognizable landscape like Tron.
So, when are you going to post more?
