Rain>Sun>Rain

It may be unfortunate, but it's a fact in life: Life isn't always sunny. Or rainy, or however you like the weather. Well, here's another 4 poems coming your way. Please enjoy them.

Alone in the Rain

The cold rain penetrates the warmth of my jacket
Soaking through,
And yet as the cold rain pours,
As if tears were falling from the sky,
I wish you could see it with me
For not all tears are tears of sadness.

The Sun Came Out

The sun came out
After a period of long, harsh rain,
And peeked through an opening in the clouds
As if it were a magic, the clouds disappeared,
Revealing a beautiful expanse of vibrant blue from behind its gloomy cover
But the clouds covered up the sun again
For the sun is not to shine brightly yet
It must be appreciated when children have time to enjoy it.

The Secret Box

I keep box hidden from sight
A box of dreams, hopes, wishes,
and sometimes memories that must be kept forever
But I dropped the box
And my dreams, hopes, wishes,
and sometimes memories that must be kept forever
All fell out
But you picked them up
And helped me put them back in the box
And now, the wonderful things in our boxes
That we hid from others who would put them to shame,
Are now shared between us, and they are considered wonderful by both of us.

Too Smart

People always ask me for the answers
To their questions, which can be answered so easily
If they just listened to the people who teach them
I try to help people as best as I can
Because they trust me enough to ask me the questions
That they would never trust anyone else to answer correctly
So with each question that comes my way, I wonder:
Am I just too smart?

The Four Poems I Needed To Do...

Whoops! Since I haven't been on since Thursday, I need to write the four poems that I needed to write. Here are the four poems.

Dark Skies

The gray depressing sky
A lifeless infinite plane
Dark days lie ahead

Forever Broken

I was broken long ago
A slow crack running deep
Until it finally consumed me
It was sad.

Memory Lane

The names I hardly remember
Are a reminder of how long ago
I was a careless being
Yet as I journey down my Memory Lane
Like the buildings in the distance as you ride down a street,
My memories all of a sudden seem
To disappear,
Too soon.

Cold Rain

Cold rain bites your face
As you look up into the sky
You wait for the break in the rain
That you know will never come
Or will it?
You may never know
But as long as you remember that rain doesn't last forever
Life does seem to be happy.

January Storms Just Drag You Down...

There's been these storms blowing through the city I live in. The howling winds at night, the rain pelting my window, and the unfamiliar sound of no planes flying over, it all is, well, kind of strange and sad. I couldn't sleep last night due to the storm, so I wrote this poem. It is about how people can become stronger, just by smiling.

The Strong Lives of the Weak

Some say they're crazy
With their smiles,
Wide despite their misfortunes.
Some say they're broken-hearted
With their smiles,
Wide despite their misfortunes.
Yet the truth is is that they are strong
With their smiles,
Wide despite their misfortunes.
Though their hearts may be weak with sorrow,
They still walk about with joy
With their smiles,
Wide despite their misfortunes.

Rethinking My Blog! :)

Let's face it.

I sometimes wonder if people actually find my life interesting. SO..... I am doing an experiment. I am going to try and post a poem everyday, from today on. The next post will be the first poem.
